AstroGeo Science Outreach Free Tour of the David Dunlap Observatory


PictureAttention Astronomy teachers and afficionados! 

AstroGeo Science Outreach Specialists is offering a free two-hour daytime tour of the David Dunlap Observatory for a class of up to 36 students. The tour of the Richmond Hill observatory will be led by an astronomer educator and includes live safe solar observations (weather permitting).

The prize goes to the best astronomy lesson submitted by January 31, 2016. The lesson can be submitted in a google doc, doc, PPT, pdf or other common formats. Lessons will be assessed based on their originality, degree of inquiry involved and potential for student engagement.

*AstroGeo specializes in education and public outreach in the Greater Toronto Area with an emphasis on Astronomy and Earth Science. Through AstroGeo, groups of all ages can book a visit to tour the historic David Dunlap Observatory for fun to to engage in scientist-led educational programs.
